I think the lights are nice, but I feel they are not just “pretend”. Having lights feels like you are able to track your plane visually in the sky. So in essence lights are functional.

Have you considered adding some computer/server fans inside to keep those batteries and cool? It’s possible to even put series of heat sinks under the controllers and receivers and batteries.

Well it is so stupid in every federal state of Germany the law is a little bit different regarding the current lockdown/ shutdown because of the covid-19 pandemic. In Hamburg it is still allowed to visit a sports ground or model airfield as long as you don´t meet with to many people at the same time. So it is possible but you have to comply with the current special regulations in Hamburg.
