Larger wheels and a better suspension would help a lot. It won't be to scale, but on an RC airplane, very few details are truly to scale.... Watchin RC airplanes land (or take off) I always felt the suspension is waaaaay too stiff. The movement is never to scale. However, some cheap DIY airplanes DO use very big, soft wheels and a VERY soft suspension (often just a few flexible metal wires) and that system always seems to work just fine. That's my 2 cents................
